With a modest beginning in 1984 under the name of STC, which use to do the retailing of G.C. sheets with one outlet, today boasts of being the prime dealer and distributor of Aarti Suraksha G.C. sheets, Alucolor profile sheets and Kamdhenu Color coated profile sheets. STC is the biggest and highest grossing dealer of Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd for the state of Manipur and has the exclusive distribution rights of Kamdhenu Color Coated sheets in Manipur.

STC operates five retail stores in the city located at the major commercial areas of Imphal namely Thangal Bazar, Nagamapal and Khabam Lamkhai . One of the stores located at Nagamapal is an exclusive counter for display and sales of Color coated profile sheets. The premise at Khabam Lamkhai also doubles up as the central warehouse of STC where all its products are stacked for display and further supply to its dealers and consumers. All the latest technology, systems and equipments are in place at this warehouse for a swift inflow or outflow of materials.

Apart from the retail sales, STC has a dealer network of over 100 across Manipur where G.C sheets, Color sheets and allied products are sold. All the major towns and districts in Manipur are covered through the distribution channel set by STC.

One of the major initiatives that Steel Trading Corporation has taken is import of G.C. sheets and Color profile sheets to cater to the surge in demand of these products in the market. STC is exclusively associated with Aarti Stripes Pvt. Ltd in Nepal and procures Aarti Suraksha G.C. sheets and Alucolor Sheets from there.
